Crime Scene Analysis

Investigators get photos from witnesses, cameras, and social posts with no location metadata. Oceanir maps those images to ranked street-level candidates, then property-search pulls parcel and address context for follow-up.

Common Questions

What types of images work best?

Outdoor scenes with visible architecture, street signs, terrain, or landmarks produce the highest-confidence results. Indoor-only photos with no environmental context are lower confidence.

Does it require any image preprocessing?

No. Upload the raw image. Oceanir handles compression and analysis automatically.

How accurate is street-level precision?

For well-covered cities, the top candidate is typically within 50–200 meters. Multiple candidates are ranked so investigators can verify against ground truth.

Can I analyze multiple images from the same scene?

Yes. Run each image separately and compare clusters on the map. Overlap usually increases confidence in the true location.
